Litbuy storage and combining orders

Track individual warehouse deadlines, decide when to combine purchases and account for storage charges before waiting for another item.

1. Record the storage date for each item

Check when each purchase becomes stocked in the warehouse. Litbuy’s storage policy starts the clock from that event, not from the day you paid the seller or began a shopping list. Items ordered together can arrive and enter storage on different dates.

Make a simple record of the order reference, stock-in date, displayed deadline and any unresolved QC question. Sort it by the earliest deadline. This is more useful than assigning one date to the whole haul because an older item may need attention while a newer one still has plenty of time.

The policy describes reminders through the app and email, but check the account yourself as well. A message you have not seen does not mean the storage clock has stopped. Use the deadline attached to the actual item when planning its next step.

2. Separate free storage from the maximum storage period

The published policy describes 90 days of free storage and a maximum storage period of 120 days for purchased and forwarded items. It also describes daily overdue charges beginning on day 91. Those are different limits: being within the maximum period does not necessarily mean storage is still free.

Review the current fee and overdue-day information in the warehouse or order details. The policy includes minimum charges, caps and disposal conditions, with qualifications that should be read together. Do not estimate a bill from the item price alone or assume paying a fee provides indefinite storage.

Our planning suggestion is to decide on shipment before reaching the free-storage deadline. That gives you room to resolve a payment, packaging or shipping-option question without relying on the final day. The allowance is a planning buffer, not an additional period offered by Litbuy.

3. Combine items only after checking that they are ready

Litbuy’s parcel workflow lets you select stored orders and combine them for shipping. Before doing so, review QC information for each item and decide whether it belongs in the parcel. Leave out anything with an unresolved mismatch, return request or missing answer.

Check that the items are compatible with the available routes to your destination. A route that works for one garment is not automatically suitable for every item in a mixed parcel. Confirm the options offered for the actual selection rather than relying on a quote for a different set of products.

Combining purchases puts several items into one shipping request, but it is not a universal guarantee of lower total shipping. Parcel dimensions, weight, packaging and available services still matter. Compare the quote for the contents you intend to send, and include any storage fees already incurred.

4. Decide whether waiting for another order is worthwhile

When one item has not arrived, compare the benefit of waiting with the cost and uncertainty it introduces. Check the seller’s status, the earliest stored-item deadline and whether the delayed item has a confirmed dispatch update. Avoid making the entire parcel depend on an unconfirmed arrival date.

For example, if several items are ready and one order is still awaiting seller dispatch, record two options: ship the ready items now or wait while monitoring the oldest item. Compare available quotes where possible. Do not assume two parcels will cost less, or that one larger parcel will always be cheaper.

Keep return timing separate from consolidation planning. A product can still be within its storage allowance after its ordinary return window has closed. Inspect and resolve that product promptly even if you intend to send the parcel later.

5. Review existing charges before submitting a parcel

The storage policy says fee accrual stops on the date the parcel order is created, while previously accumulated fees remain payable. Check the account confirmation and bill rather than treating selection of a checkbox or an unfinished shipping form as completed submission.

If you ship only some items, review the items left behind separately. Their deadlines and possible charges still need attention. Keep the new parcel reference alongside the order references so you can see which purchases are shipping and which remain in storage. With the contents decided, compare shipping costs and available routes for that parcel.

6. Resolve unmatched incoming parcels promptly

The official policy also describes a separate 30-day period for abnormal incoming parcels without completed logistics information, beginning at the received status. It says these parcels cannot be matched to an order or user and do not receive the usual reminders.

If you are using forwarding and an incoming delivery cannot be matched, contact support with its tracking and order details rather than applying the ordinary 90-day rule. Ask what information is missing and verify that the parcel has been associated with your account. Clear identification is the first step before planning inspection or consolidation.
