Warehouse & inspection
How to review Litbuy warehouse QC photos
Compare warehouse photos with your order, identify missing information and raise useful questions before authorizing international shipment.
1. Match the photos to the order first
Start with the item record, not a photo viewed in isolation. Check the order number, selected option, quantity and size against the notes you kept when purchasing. This is especially useful when you ordered similar colours or several products from one seller.
In Litbuy’s described workflow, incoming items are processed and inspected before appearing as stored purchases in the warehouse. A seller tracking update may precede that stage. If the photos have not appeared, check the processing status before concluding that the item or its inspection is missing.
Once photos are available, open them at a readable size. Keep the seller’s selected-option photo beside the order record so you compare the received version with the version ordered, rather than with a different variation in the listing.
2. Check visible details in a consistent order
Work through quantity, colour, labels, major features and condition. For a multi-piece order, count the visible components and check whether the expected accessories are shown. For clothing, compare the size label and overall design before moving to small details.
Look for clear differences such as a missing part, visible stain or a different fastening. Describe what you can actually see. Lighting, shadows and a folded garment can make small details hard to interpret, so treat an uncertain area as a question rather than declaring a defect from one photograph.
Our practical suggestion is to keep a short list with three entries: what matches, what appears different and what is not shown. This separates a confirmed mismatch from information you still need and makes the next message to support much easier to understand.
3. Compare measurements without treating photos as a fitting room
A size label confirms the label that arrived; it does not establish that the garment has the dimensions you expected. If measurements are important, compare the seller’s chart with the same measurements on a garment you already wear. Make sure both measurements use the same endpoints and method.
If you need a measurement checked at the warehouse, ask whether that service is available and whether there is a charge. Specify the measurement rather than asking for a general fit opinion. For example, explain that you need the width between the underarms with the garment laid flat.
Do not scale a product from the size of a background tile or assume a folded item is being shown at its full length. A photograph can help you inspect appearance; it cannot tell you how the item will feel or move when worn.
4. Know what basic inspection cannot establish
Litbuy’s inspection disclaimer describes checks of external condition and accessories, with limits on professional inspection. QC photos should not be treated as proof of authenticity, internal construction quality, long-term durability or comprehensive functionality.
This distinction matters for electronics and sealed products. An intact box or a visible model label does not demonstrate battery performance, software behaviour or compatibility with your existing equipment. Check the listing’s specifications and ask relevant questions before purchase rather than expecting a warehouse photograph to answer them later.
For a sealed or collectible item, ask what can be inspected without opening it and what opening might mean for return eligibility. Do not request packaging removal merely to obtain another view unless you understand the consequences for that item.
5. Send one clear request for each unresolved issue
Include the order number, the exact option ordered and the detail you need checked. Point to the relevant photograph and explain the difference. “The order specifies medium; the visible label reads large” is actionable in a way that “this looks wrong” is not.
If a detail is missing, ask for a specific angle or confirmation and check the available service terms. Additional photographs or checks should not be assumed free or available for every product. Keep the answer with the order so you can review it before deciding what happens next.
6. Make the keep-or-return decision before shipping
Review the response while the item is still at the warehouse. If the item is acceptable, record that decision. If you want to return it, check eligibility and raise the request promptly. The published warehouse return service has a limited window and depends on seller conditions and the item’s state.
Do not assume the warehouse storage allowance is also your return window. Waiting to combine a parcel can leave less time to resolve an item problem. Finish the comparison, obtain any needed answer and decide whether to ship before authorizing the international parcel.
If the item needs to go back, use the return request guide. If you are keeping it, continue to planning storage and combining orders.
